I'm Erington, the brain behind The Black Diamond Accounting Group, LLC. You can call me Little E or Little Erington if you're feeling formal, but let's keep it casual.

​

So, who am I and why should you care? Well, you don't "have to care," but since you're here, let me share a bit about myself.

​

Back in college, I had dreams of becoming a news reporter. I even attended one of the top schools for journalism, the University of Missouri-Columbia, aka Mizzou. But halfway through, I realized it wasn't my passion. So, I switched gears to corporate communications, though that didn't quite click either. Despite my misgivings, changing my major wasn't an option in my household.

Fast forward a few years, and I found myself working in a bank, interacting with small business owners. I'd sit down with them, asking questions about their business and offering advice, often unprompted. Surprisingly, customers began returning for more advice rather than banking services. That planted a seed in my mind about offering business services, but at the time, my focus was on furthering my education and climbing the corporate ladder.

After earning a dual master's degree in finance, I dove into various accounting roles, delving deep into money management. I became fascinated by financial reporting from a business perspective—how money is recorded, tracked, allocated, leveraged, and spent.

​

It dawned on me that these concepts could be applied to small businesses as well. If I could assist corporations making millions and billions, why not empower small businesses to do the same? They just needed the right financial support team.

​

And so, The Black Diamond Accounting Group was born—a culmination of passion, expertise, and a desire to help businesses of all sizes thrive financially.
