When we dream of the things we want and the life we envision, we often focus solely on how we will feel once we achieve our goals. We spend more time dreaming about the result—the big reward—than about the process of getting there. Sure, we know we'll need to work hard, stay determined, and have the right support, but we rarely anticipate the specific challenges, issues, or problems we’ll encounter along the way.
The journey to our goals can either empower us or deter us; it can make or break us. Think of it like pressure building diamonds. If you’ve ever pursued something that meant the world to you, you understand that there’s always a process involved in achieving your desired outcome. It might be something as simple as developing a daily routine or breaking a bad habit over 21 days. Or, it could be years of overcoming personal challenges, molding you into the person God intended you to be for your purpose.
No matter how long or how intense the change, transformation is inevitable. During this time, we often ask ourselves deep questions like, "Who am I?", "Why am I here?", and "What is my purpose?" This stage of introspection leads to a transformation from who we were or are, to who we need and want to be.
The frustrating part is that, despite all this work, we sometimes still feel incomplete or unsure, teetering between mental stability and insanity. I know I have been there—feeling like, "God, why?" At the start of 2024, I have been on a quest to build my business, connect with good people, provide the best level of service, and still find myself thinking there is more I need to be doing.
Then, I came across a Bible verse: "Be still and know that I am God." When I first read this, I instantly felt a sense of calmness. It reminded me that no matter what I do or how great my efforts are, God is always in control. As long as you stay connected to Him, know that He is God and His will shall be done. If you ever reach a point where you feel you’ve done all you can do, be still and know that He is God.
Be blessed, be well, be loved.
